Goldman's Secret School for Ultra-Rich Heirs Teaches Them the Ropes
Goldman Sachs has been hosting an exclusive bootcamp for ultra-rich Gen Z heirs to teach them how to manage their fortunes. The 'NextGS Investment Intensive' brought together 50 young people aged 18-23 from families with average accounts worth over $90 million.
The program, now in its third year, combines finance lessons with sessions on luxury assets like art, watches, and jewelry. Students learned how to read Wall Street Journal articles, budget, and even invested in sports teams. They also got hands-on experience with Goldman's trading floors and equity trading.
The intensive ventured beyond stocks and bonds, covering private markets, cryptocurrency, and artificial intelligence. Attendees showed particular interest in alternative investments, according to senior Goldman executive Brittany Boals Moeller.
But the program isn't just about money, it also focuses on personal development, with sessions on communication, leadership, and executive presence led by Bill Hoogterp of LifeHikes.
