Golf Meets Gaelic: Amgen Irish Open Brings Together Two of Ireland's Biggest Sporting Passions
The upcoming Amgen Irish Open golf tournament will feature a unique blend of sports as it welcomes All-Ireland champions from various codes to its main stage.
The event, taking place from September 9-13 at Trump International Golf Links Ireland in Doonbeg, Co. Clare, will bring together the likes of Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, and Jon Rahm with this year's All-Ireland winners in football, hurling, ladies football, and camogie.
On Thursday, September 10, the focus will shift to camogie and hurling champions. Cork's All-Ireland-winning camogie stars Meabh Cahalane (captain) and her sister Orlaith Cahalane will appear on stage with the O'Duffy Cup, while Limerick hurling captain Cian Lynch and Gearóid Hegarty will bring the Liam McCarthy Cup.
The live question-and-answer sessions will give supporters a chance to hear directly from these champions, ask questions, and see the coveted All-Ireland trophies up close. With general admission tickets still available for certain rounds, fans can attend the Amgen Irish Open and witness this unique convergence of sports.
