Golf Tech Startup Paralo Secures £270K to Streamline Golf Club Operations
Paralo, a UK-based golf technology startup, has secured £270,000 in pre-seed funding to develop its operating system for golf clubs and connected products for golfers. This oversubscribed round was led by founder-led angel investors under the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS), which offers tax-efficient benefits to investors.
The company's founders, Jarrad Hicks and Zaheer Merali, have a deep understanding of the golf industry, with Hicks having worked in healthtech and Merali as a senior systems engineer at Cisco and Webex. They aim to address the fragmented technology stack used by golf clubs, which currently rely on more than 20 separate software products.
The founders have spent months working inside golf clubs, mapping their operations before developing the platform. Paralo's architecture allows individual clubs to retain their own operating rules, identity, and member experience rather than standardizing them around a single way of working.
