GOOGL Dominates Poll as Traders Bet Big on AI Spending
Alphabet's Google-parent (GOOGL) came out on top in a recent Stocktwits poll of over 3,300 traders. The company received 36% of the vote for being the most bullish hyperscaler stock pick for the next 12 months.
This is significant given the collective expected spending of nearly $700 billion by Alphabet, Amazon (AMZN), Microsoft (MSFT), and Meta Platforms (META) on AI infrastructure in 2026. Among these companies, Alphabet plans to spend roughly $195 billion to $205 billion, a near doubling from its estimated $91 billion to $93 billion in 2025.
Despite concerns about the pressure on free cash flow due to massive investment, Meta (META) leads the group with an implied upside of around 30% based on average analyst price targets. Alphabet's GOOGL stock has delivered a strong one-year return of nearly 69%, making it the strongest performer among the four companies.
