Google Ads Rolls Out Product Value Optimization Beta Feature
Google Ads has introduced a new beta feature called Product Value Optimization (PVO) that allows advertisers to configure value adjustments to guide automated bidding. This feature was quietly announced by Google last June, but it didn't gain much attention until Adriaan Dekker posted about it on LinkedIn recently.
PVO enables advertisers to optimize for their business goals by creating value adjustments that are based on factors such as profit, seasonal sell-through, or best-sellers. The feature also allows for simplified management of different products and attributes, like brands and categories, without altering the campaign structure.
According to Google, PVO offers several key benefits, including real-time optimization for nuanced value adjustments with Performance Max and Shopping campaigns. This means that advertisers can optimize their bids in real-time based on the performance of specific products or attributes.
