Google has agreed to pay £260 million ($353 million) to settle a class action brought by app developers who claim the tech giant's Play Store practices are anticompetitive.

The settlement, which brings an end to the collective action in the UK, was reportedly reached after negotiations between Google and the group of developers represented by law firm Sheridans.

According to reports, the developers were seeking more than £1 billion in damages for allegedly being forced to pay commissions on sales made through the Play Store.
