Google and Partners Launch Electric Semi-Truck Fleet in Texas
Google has partnered with Nevoya and the Center for Green Market Activation (GMA) to deploy 25 electric semi-trucks on a new route in Texas, connecting Houston and Dallas.
The trucks will be supported by charging infrastructure built by Greenlane Infrastructure, with plans for dedicated electric truck charging sites in both cities. Each site will feature six to eight pull-through charging lanes, supporting CCS and MCS charging.
This is part of a larger plan to deploy 63 trucks on the route, which Google claims will travel around 11 million miles annually and save 92,000 metric tons in CO2 emissions.
