Google Apps Exposed as Stealthy Battery Drainers on Android
If you're experiencing battery problems on your Android smartphone, there's hope for improvement. One way to address this issue is by identifying which apps are consuming the most power.
Interestingly, even Google's own apps can be hidden battery drainers when they run constantly in the background.
The Google app is a prime example of this. When used with the Google Chrome browser, it reloads data to update the Google Discover feed, placing a constant strain on the battery.
To check which apps are draining your battery, go to Settings > Battery and select Battery usage by app. This will provide a detailed breakdown of how long each app has been running in the background and how much power it's consumed.
The Google app may be one of the top battery drainers due to its constant operation in the background. Other common culprits include Google Maps, social media apps, and YouTube.
