Google Axes Pixel Tablet Amid Rumors of Cancelled Upgrades
Google has officially discontinued its Pixel Tablet, quietly removing it from its store without fanfare. The tablet was launched in 2023 as a hybrid of an Android device and a Nest Hub smart display.
The listing for the Pixel Tablet now redirects to Google's homepage, with no mention of the product on the Google Store except for a few remaining accessories. This change comes after sales of the Pixel Tablet closed up in late August, although the listing was still available at that time.
Google had not released a sequel to the Pixel Tablet despite rumors of planned upgrades being canceled due to profitability concerns. A second-generation device would have arrived in 2025, followed by a third-gen release in 2027, but these plans seem to be no longer on track.
