Google Boosts Pixel Buds Pro 2 with Software Update
Google has made its Pixel Buds Pro 2 earbuds the obvious choice for Pixel owners, not by releasing new hardware but by enhancing their software. A forthcoming update will add features like Dynamic ANC and Pixel Watch sleep sync to the earbuds, making them more seamless with other Google devices.
The update includes a feature called Dynamic ANC (Noise Cancellation) that adjusts to compensate for subtle shifts in the seal of the earbuds, ensuring powerful noise cancellation even when the fit changes during activities like walking or running. This is made possible by the Google Tensor A1 chip and software algorithms.
Another notable feature of the update is Pixel Watch sleep sync, which uses a smartwatch's sensors to detect when the user has fallen asleep. This information is then shared with the earbuds, causing them to pause music, turn off gesture control, and silence notifications. This preserves battery life and provides a more accurate way to stop music from playing during sleep.
Google's software update also enhances live translation for Pixel Buds Pro 2 earbuds, supporting over 70 languages. This feature allows the earbuds to work with the user's Pixel phone, playing the translation of their responses in real-time.
