Google Brings Antigravity to Gemini Enterprise with Granular Spend Controls
Google has integrated Antigravity into Gemini Enterprise to provide granular spend controls for enterprises using its AI coding agent. The new features, including budgeting and consumption controls, address key management gaps around billing flexibility and license management at scale.
The earlier model allowed enterprises to deploy Antigravity through their cloud projects but did not provide centralized mechanisms to pool unused capacity across developers or set usage-related spending limits. This resulted in less flexibility to allocate unused capacity, monitor consumption across developer teams, and control costs as usage scaled.
The new tools include granular spend thresholds, pooled quotas, overage enablement, and usage metrics. These features will allow administrators to set monthly project-level budget caps, share token capacity across teams, manage overages, and gain visibility into AI resource consumption.
Analysts agree that the new cost control tools could help enterprises rein in AI spending by providing insights into who is driving costs and which tasks are responsible. However, not all features will be available immediately, with per-user and team-level controls expected to roll out later this year.
