Google has expanded its Gemini Notebook platform to include e-books from select publishers, enabling users to incorporate insights and research directly into their notes. The new feature, called Expert Intelligence, is a cross Google initiative that aims to help users engage with trusted sources through AI products.

The program starts with over 100,000 books from major publishers like Bloomsbury, De Gruyter Brill, Johns Hopkins University Press, Macmillan Publishers, O'Reilly Media, and Penguin Random House. Best-selling authors such as Steven Pinker, Michael Pollan, and Jennifer Wallace have also created special Featured Notebooks to supplement their books with additional source material.

To access this feature, users can browse the Google Play Books catalog for compatible titles marked 'Available for Gemini Notebook'. In the US, a selection of free books is available for limited time. With Expert Intelligence, users can generate infographics, audio overviews, quizzes, and more using the included e-books.
