Google Brings Note-Sharing and Custom Chat Themes to Android Messages

Google's latest update for Android Messages has brought two significant features to the table. The September Android Drop includes custom chat themes and seamless integration with Google Keep notes.

The new feature allows users to bring a Keep note directly into a conversation by tapping the plus button. This enables everyone in the chat to view, edit, and contribute to shared notes without leaving the conversation. The idea behind this is to turn Messages conversations into the place where plans are actually made.

This feature might be particularly handy for group chats, where information can get lost in the flood of messages. The integration with Google Keep also enables users to plan vacations or make grocery lists more efficiently.

Additionally, Google is rolling out custom chat themes, which let users set different backgrounds and color treatments for individual conversations. Users can choose from curated collections of wallpapers or upload their own photos from the gallery.
