Google Brings Tap-to-Share Feature to Quick Share on Android Devices

Google has finally brought its Quick Share feature to Android devices, allowing users to tap their phones together to share files and contact information. This feature is similar to Apple's AirDrop and can even work with Apple devices.

The update was announced during the Made by Google event on Wednesday, where several new products were unveiled, including the Pixel Watch 5 and Pixel 11. The Quick Share tap-to-share feature is now available on newer Pixel models, starting from the Pixel 6, and will soon be rolled out to other Android devices, such as Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Fold 8, and Flip 8.

To use the feature, users need to open their phone's Share Sheet before tapping the two devices together. This allows them to share files, photos, and contact information quickly and easily. Google has also provided some troubleshooting tips for those who are having trouble using the feature, such as overlapping the phone screens more or removing thick phone cases.
