Google Builds New Data Center Campus in Tulsa County
Google is expanding its presence in Oklahoma by building a new 506-acre data center campus in unincorporated Tulsa County, near Cherokee Industrial Park. The project, known as Project Clydesdale, will not only boost Google's infrastructure in the state but also bring investments in the local power grid, water systems, workforce training, and community programs.
The campus will be powered by Public Service Company of Oklahoma, with Beale Infrastructure funding the construction of a new on-site substation. This upgrade is expected to strengthen energy reliability and grid stability across the region while providing additional capacity for the data center and other regional power needs. Google has signed over 15 agreements since 2011 supporting the development of more than 2.5 gigawatts of new power generation and storage projects in Oklahoma.
Project Clydesdale will also fund and install 1.5 miles of new water lines and infrastructure upgrades for Washington County Rural Water District No. 3, providing a more robust and resilient water system for the project's local neighbors. Additionally, Google is supporting a program with the electrical training ALLIANCE to train existing electrical workers and add over 160 apprentices in Oklahoma by 2030.
This is not Google's first investment in Oklahoma; since establishing its first data center campus in Pryor in 2011, the company has invested more than $15 billion in the state. In 2025, Google's investments and technologies helped generate over $2.6 billion in economic activity for Oklahoma businesses, publishers, nonprofits, creators, and developers.
