Google Buys Spirit Airlines' Vast Dataset for $10 Million

Google has agreed to purchase extensive data from Spirit Airlines for $10 million. The package includes operational, financial, technical, and corporate information.

The datasets are substantial in scale, covering 763,391 flights, 57.4 million scheduled flights, 190.3 million passenger name records, and 7.5 billion transactions.

The data also includes internal documents, software, and source code for Spirit's web, mobile, and backend systems, which span about 30 million lines of code.
