Google Chrome Emergency Update Issued for 3.6 Billion Users

Google has released an emergency security update for its Chrome web browser due to a critical zero-day vulnerability. The issue, tracked as CVE-2026-85046, puts Chrome's estimated 3.6 billion global users at risk.

The security flaw was discovered and reported by researcher Salvatore Gulizia, who found that attackers could exploit the issue by tricking victims into visiting a compromised HTML page.
