Google Clears Up Confusion Over Pixel Watch Support
First-generation Pixel Watch owners were left shaken after receiving a warning that their devices would lose support for Google Health sync.
The alarming message, which appeared on some users' screens, suggested that Google was planning to discontinue support for the original Pixel Watch.
However, Google has since clarified that the warning was caused by a bug and confirmed that legacy Pixel Watch and Fitbit devices remain fully supported.
In a statement to Android Authority, a Google spokesperson said: 'We spotted this, too, and can confirm that the Google Health App and Coach fully support legacy Pixel Watch and Fitbit devices.'
The company has fixed the bug, which incorrectly displayed the message to some users. To ensure continued support for Google Health sync, owners of first-generation Pixel Watches should check if their device is running Wear OS 4 or later.
