Google Cloud Launches Gemini Enterprise for Legal with Big Law Firms
Google Cloud has launched Gemini Enterprise for Legal, its first dedicated legal AI offering, in partnership with top law firms Cleary, Freshfields, Weil, and Williams & Connolly. The product aims to automate tasks that consume junior time, such as brief drafting, citation verification, contract lifecycle management, and data subject access request fulfillment.
Gemini Enterprise for Legal is organized around four key components: purpose-built legal skills, connectors into existing systems, a partner ecosystem, and a governance layer with audit logging and centralised IT controls. The product integrates with popular document management systems like iManage, NetDocuments, Thomson Reuters, RelativityOne, and Harvey.
The inclusion of data subject access request fulfillment is significant for European readers, as responding to these requests under GDPR can be expensive, deadline-bound, and largely mechanical. Accenture, Deloitte, and KPMG are part of the partner ecosystem, which will help enterprise software reach large firms.
