Google Cloud's Chief Executive Thomas Kurian recently outlined a broad strategy at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference 2026. He emphasized that the company's edge comes from controlling the full technology stack, including TPUs, GPUs, Arm processors, Gemini models, data tools, security, and applications.

Kurian said new customer acquisitions are growing at more than twice last year's pace, while deals above $100 million are also growing at 2x quarter over quarter and year over year. He added that AI customers use 1.8 times more products than non-AI users, suggesting stronger cross-sell and upsell potential.

The company highlighted price-performance gains, long-term contracts, and a growing partner ecosystem as key supports for future growth. Kurian noted that the lifetime value of Gemini Enterprise customers over five years is about 1.5 times higher than that of non-AI users.
