Google Cloud Sees Strong Demand for AI-Powered Services
Google Cloud's Chief Executive Thomas Kurian spoke at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference 2026, highlighting the company's growth and strategy. He stated that Google Cloud is gaining share and deepening customer relationships despite intense competition in the cloud market.
The company's edge comes from controlling its full technology stack, including chips to models to applications. Kurian pointed to strong demand for Gemini Enterprise and long-term infrastructure contracts as signs of AI adoption driving revenue growth.
New customer acquisitions are growing at more than twice last year's pace, while deals above $100 million are increasing 2x quarter over quarter and year over year. The lifetime value of Gemini Enterprise customers over five years is about 1.5 times higher than that of non-AI users.
