Google Cloud Tackles Generative AI Data Risks with Responsible Approach

Google's generative AI chatbot Bard has raised concerns about sensitive data slipping into private information. To mitigate this risk, Google Cloud takes a responsible approach to using personal data in AI products.

The company covers such data under the existing Google Cloud Platform Agreement, which includes both Bard and Cloud AI. This agreement ensures transparency that data fed into Bard will be collected and used to provide, improve, and develop Google products and services.

Google Cloud's Vice President of Engineering Behshad Behzadi emphasized that 'we approach AI both boldly and responsibly, recognizing that all customers have the right to complete control over how their data is used.'
