Google Confirms No Pre-Announced Update Rollouts
Google has clarified its update rollout process, stating that it does not release updates prior to an official announcement. According to John Mueller, Google's policy is to announce updates shortly after they begin rolling out, whether it's a core or spam update.
In response to a question on LinkedIn, Mueller emphasized that the company does not wait a day or two before announcing an update has started. He also highlighted that Google's smaller core updates are often rolled out without an official announcement.
However, Mueller reassured that when an update is announced, it is indeed related to the rolling out of that specific update. He acknowledged that there have been instances where Google forgot to announce a major update in the past, but these cases are extremely rare.
