Google Develops Audio Briefing Button for Gemini Daily Brief

Google is developing a feature to make it easier for users to listen to their Gemini Daily Brief. The new button, labeled 'Talk through your brief,' will open the Gemini Live interface and start reading the briefing aloud. This addition could give audio briefings greater visibility and convenience.

The feature was spotted in the latest version of the Google app (v17.54.10) during an APK teardown. Although the audio part works smoothly, the UI is still a work in progress and displays different introductory lines for the briefing when tapped multiple times.

Google has been working on various improvements for the Gemini Daily Brief, including making it easier to customize and adding it to the At a Glance widget on Pixel phones. The new feature could make audio briefings more accessible to users without first opening Gemini Live and asking it to read their daily briefing.
