Google Disables Sticker Animation in Google Photos
Google Photos has updated its features to give users more control over their experience. One of the changes is the ability to disable the sticker animation, which highlights compatible subjects and shows what part of the photo will be used for the sticker.
The shimmer effect was introduced last year as a way to make it easier for users to identify eligible subjects for stickers. However, some users found it distracting. To address this feedback, Google has added a new setting that allows users to turn off the animation.
Users can find the setting by going to Settings > Preferences > Photo view and toggling 'Show shimmer' off. The feature is enabled by default but can be turned off at any time.
