Google Ditches China for Pixel Manufacturing by 2027
Alphabet's (GOOGL) stock price dipped by 0.55% after reports emerged that Google plans to completely exit Chinese manufacturing for Pixel devices by 2027.
The tech giant aims to relocate its production operations to Vietnam and India, following a similar move by Samsung last year.
Google has been developing production infrastructure in both countries in preparation for this strategic realignment, which is expected to minimize supply chain vulnerability amid ongoing trade tensions between the US and China.
The Pixel brand is projected to experience 8% to 10% growth in shipments this year, with around 12 million units shipped in 2025.
