Google's iconic homepage has undergone a significant change. The central text box and 'Search' button, which have been staples since its inception, are no longer present. Instead, three AI-powered buttons - 'Create images,' 'Ask about files,' and 'Brainstorm' - now occupy the space.

The buttons, along with the remaining 'I'm feeling lucky' button, aim to provide users with new ways to interact with Google's search functionality. These options are part of a larger experiment by the tech giant to integrate AI into its services.

Google Search's vice president of product, Robby Stein, confirmed that this was a small test on desktop, stating it 'helps people find new things they can do with Search.' The core search box remains unaffected, and users can still perform regular searches by hitting enter.
