Google Drops Paywall on Dreambeans AI Story App

Google's Dreambeans app is now available for free to any US Google Account holder on Android and iOS. The app, which was previously exclusive to Google AI Ultra subscribers, uses AI to create a personalized daily feed of stories based on the user's interests.

The app collects data from various sources, including Gmail, Google Photos, Calendar, Search history, and YouTube, to build a profile of the user's preferences. It then generates custom artwork for each story using the Nano Banana image generator.

Dreambeans is just one of several experiments coming out of Google Labs, which also includes Pomelli, a tool that can generate an entire brand identity from scratch, and ProducerAI, a music generation tool.
