Google Drops Subscription Requirement for Dreambeans App
Google has made its experimental Dreambeans application available for free testing in the United States. Previously, users had to be premium members of Google AI Ultra to access the personalized discovery feed.
The software builds a daily story deck by analyzing data from connected accounts such as Gmail, Photos, Calendar, and YouTube history. This information is used to suggest relevant events, activities, and topics based on the user's routines and hobbies.
Dreambeans operates differently than a standard news feed, delivering a finite collection of visual stories each morning instead of infinite scrolling. The system generates unique artwork for every card, making it more engaging and interactive.
