Google Embeds Gemini Microphones in Gmail, Docs, and Keep
Google has introduced its Gemini microphones in three everyday apps: Gmail, Docs, and Keep. This move marks an expansion of Alphabet's (GOOGL) artificial-intelligence capabilities beyond standalone apps.
The new voice features allow users to search their inbox through natural conversation with Gmail Live, turn spoken ideas into working drafts with Docs Live, and transform rambling thoughts into organized notes with Keep Live.
Gmail Live and Keep Live are being rolled out first to Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers, while Docs Live requires a Pro or Ultra plan. Workspace business customers will gain access later.
Alphabet's quarterly filing showed subscriptions, platforms, and devices revenue surging 15% to approximately $12.9 billion.
