Google Embeds Gemini-Powered Voice Tools Across Gmail, Docs, and Keep
Google is enhancing its productivity ecosystem by integrating Gemini-powered voice tools into Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Keep. The new features, called Gmail Live, Docs Live, and Keep Live, allow users to interact with these applications conversationally rather than relying solely on typing.
Gmail Live enables users to search for information in their inbox using natural language, reducing the need to manually search through multiple messages. With Docs Live, users can speak through ideas, and Gemini will turn the conversation into a structured document. Keep Live is designed for capturing and organizing thoughts, with Gemini converting natural speech into structured notes or lists.
The rollout marks a broader shift in Google's approach to AI, moving Gemini beyond a standalone chatbot and embedding conversational capabilities directly into everyday productivity applications. The features are now available to eligible Google AI subscribers, but their availability is limited to specific plans and platforms.
