Google Embeds Interactive Quizzes in AI Overviews
Google has introduced a new feature to its AI Overviews, allowing users to practice their knowledge on various topics. This feature is an extension of Google's interactive quizzes that were first launched in 2016 and updated in 2021.
According to Barry Schwartz, the CEO of RustyBrick, this feature was mentioned as part of the AI Mode announcement a few weeks ago, but it has now been embedded within AI Overviews. Users can access this feature by loading an AI Overview quiz, which will then show up with various questions on different topics.
Schwartz also noted that Google is integrating more search tools into AI Overviews over time, including character counters, weather results, dictionary results, movies, TV shows, mortgage calculators, and emojis. This move suggests that Google is aiming to make its search engine a one-stop-shop for users' information needs.
