Google Employees Test Next Generation AI Model Amid Rapid Development Cycle

Google has released its latest AI model, Gemini 3.8 Flash, and some employees are already testing the next version.

The company has been working at a breakneck pace to keep up with OpenAI and Anthropic, releasing new models just weeks apart.

According to Business Insider, which obtained images of the internal coding platform Jetski, staff have begun using a preview version of Gemini 3.8 Flash, which offers greater speed and lower costs for users.

An employee testing the model said it felt noticeably better than the previous version, but emphasized that it was too early to make a full review.
