Google Enables Interactive Ebooks with Gemini Notebook Integration
Google has integrated its Expert Intelligence feature with Gemini Notebook, allowing users to add eligible ebooks from Google Play Books directly into their notebooks. The integration enables users to ask questions grounded in the complete text of the ebook and receive answers backed by citations connecting them to the source.
The Expert Intelligence feature currently supports over 100,000 titles at launch, although not every ebook in a user's library is eligible for this integration. Once an eligible book has been added to Gemini Notebook, users can generate various types of content based on what they've read, including flashcards, quizzes, reports, infographics, and podcast-style Audio Overviews.
Users can also combine the ebook with their own notes or other materials from sources like Google Docs, PDFs, websites, YouTube videos, and EPUB files. This integration aims to enhance the reading experience by providing a more interactive and immersive way to engage with ebooks.
