Google Enhances Gemini for Home with Improved Spotify Recognition and Smart Light Control

Google has rolled out an update for its Gemini for Home voice assistant, which is currently in early access phase. The latest changes include better Spotify recognition, allowing users to request specific songs, artists, and playlists with more ease.

With the new update, users can now say 'Hey Google' followed by a command, without needing to provide the entire message at once. For example, they can say 'Hey Google, broadcast message' and then provide the message in a follow-up request.

The update also gives users more control over smart lights, allowing them to specify an exact temperature in kelvins using their voice. Additionally, the Google Home app is gaining more detailed support for European-style smart locks, enabling independent control of unlatching and unlocking.
