Google Enters Legal Sector with Gemini Enterprise for Law Firms
Google has expanded its Gemini Enterprise platform to target the legal sector with a dedicated offering aimed at law firms and lawyers. This new platform, called Gemini Enterprise for Legal, integrates with major legal technology providers, including Thomson Reuters' platforms.
The company announced that leading law firms such as Weil Gotshal, Cleary Gottlieb, Freshfields, and Williams & Connolly are collaborating with Google on this new platform.
Gemini Enterprise for Legal is designed to help law firms apply AI to both routine and complex legal workflows, freeing up lawyers to concentrate on higher-value advisory work while keeping sensitive information protected and confidential.
The updated Gemini Enterprise platform introduces a dedicated plug-in for legal users that incorporates connections to legal software and data systems. It also includes a set of AI agents that Google said are capable of performing specialized legal and administrative tasks with limited human involvement.
