Google Fixes Alarms Bug on Home Devices After Several Days of Silence

Google Home users experienced issues setting alarms via voice command for several days due to a bug that affected Nest speakers, displays, and third-party devices like Lenovo smart displays.

The problem occurred after Google's major August update, which introduced new features and a smarter Gemini for Home experience.

Users reported that commands such as 'Hey Google, set an alarm for 8:30 AM' would be ignored, while others found workarounds like saying 'Hey Google, hi' before giving the alarm command.

Google acknowledged the issue and later confirmed a fix, stating that 'We've resolved the issue impacting setting Alarms.'
