Google Fixes Android Auto Disconnect Bug with New Software Update
Google has issued an update to Android Auto users plagued by a random disconnect bug that causes the app to freeze or drop connection every few minutes. The issue was identified in version 17.2 of the software, with some users experiencing problems even after installing version 17.1.
The glitch was first reported earlier this summer and caused frustration for those affected. Some users found a workaround by downgrading to version 17.0, which suggested that versions 17.1 and 17.2 were the culprits.
Google has now issued a fix, which can be installed by updating to at least version 17.4. The latest stable version of Android Auto is currently rolling out through the Google Play Store, but some users may still need to update manually using APK installers.
