Google Frees Up Premium Gemini Feature for All US Users
Google has made its premium Daily Brief feature available to all users in the U.S., free of charge. The feature, which was previously exclusive to Gemini's AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers, pulls together information from emails, upcoming events in the calendar, and content from Gemini chats to deliver a personalized briefing.
Daily Brief is designed to help users stay up-to-date with their schedule and tasks, breaking down suggested actions into sections focused on immediate attention and longer-term goals. Users can click on any task to learn more and chat about it directly within the app.
To access Daily Brief, users need to connect their Google Workspace account to Gemini and enable Memory in Personal Intelligence settings. The feature is only available to adults using personal Google accounts, not work or school accounts.
While Daily Brief offers a convenient way to manage tasks and schedule, it does require access to user information to function effectively. Users should be aware that this information may be used to train AI models and reviewed by humans.
