Google Gemini Reaches 1 Billion Users Milestone in Record Time
Google Gemini has reached an astonishing milestone of over 1 billion users, making it the company's fastest-growing product to date. Announced by Sundar Pichai in a post on X, this achievement marks the 14th Google product to reach 1 billion users.
In a statement, Pichai revealed that more than 63% of Gemini users interact with the app using voice commands, while one in five interactions use camera or screen share. The app is also used by students who appreciate its ability to understand uploaded files, with 38% of school requests including attachments.
Interestingly, people use Gemini to generate over 150 million photos every day, and the app can automate actions in more than 40 different apps, such as booking rideshares or making dinner reservations. Additionally, over 100 million users access Gemini on iOS devices, with MacOS users prompting around twice as much as those using other surfaces.
Google's rapid growth in this area is a testament to the increasing popularity of AI-powered tools and the potential they hold for everyday life.
