Google Gives $1.1M to Fort Wayne City Utilities for Water Reuse Efforts
Google has pledged $1.1 million to Fort Wayne City Utilities as part of its larger effort to support water sources, infrastructure, and access across Indiana.
The donation is aimed at improving water reuse and operations at the Three Rivers Filtration Plant, which will result in a significant reduction of water removed from the St. Joseph River each year.
According to Google officials, the company's data center on the southeast side of Fort Wayne has an opportunity and responsibility to protect community water resources as it continues to evolve.
In addition to this donation, Google has protected over 20 acres of wetland in Allen County to offset the impact of its data center construction.
