Google Gives Away Free AI Plan and Study Tools to College Students

Google has announced that it will be offering one year of its Gemini AI plan for free to eligible college students around the world. This offer includes new and enhanced study tools, making it easier for students to stay organized and make the most of their school year.

The offer is available in two tiers: Google AI Pro for eligible students in the US, valued at $19.99/month, and Google AI Plus for eligible students outside the US. The Google AI Pro plan includes 4x higher usage limits in Gemini, access to Gemini Spark, 5 TB of storage, and more.

In addition to the free AI plan, Google is also launching new study tools that can help students stay organized and focused. These include a student hub, which serves as a central location for all of Gemini's tools and offers, and study notebooks, which provide a gameplan for breaking down learning topics and tracking progress.

Students will also have access to interactive visualizations, which can generate functional 3D simulations to help them better understand complex topics. Furthermore, Gemini Live provides a natural, conversational way to study, allowing students to talk through their problem sets or chat about materials from their Drive.
