The new academic year is here, and Google wants to help students in India get started on the right foot. As part of its efforts, the tech giant is offering one year of Gemini at no cost to eligible students. This means access to Gemini Omni, double the usage limits in Gemini, 400 GB of storage, and more.

In addition to this offer, Google is also introducing new features to level up learning with Gemini and AI in Search. With Gemini's study notebooks, students can get personalized learning plans tailored to their strengths and knowledge gaps. They can also request Deep Research reports with Gemini Live on the go.

Google Search is getting new features as well, including interactive visuals, practice quizzes, and step-by-step guidance with Lens. Students will be able to organize projects with notebooks and streamline their studies by creating custom files. Google's education tools are designed to be safe by default and rooted in proven learning science.
