Google Guides Social Media Content Analysis with New Search Console Guide
Google has released a new guide for analyzing social and video platform content performance in Search Console. The guide helps 'content creators, social media managers, and SEO professionals' understand how their platform content performs on Google Search.
The guide covers four platforms: TikTok, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube. These platforms have been integrated into Search Console as 'properties,' allowing account holders to view performance data without requiring a website.
Each property must be added and verified individually in Search Console, which can involve multiple verification flows for agencies managing client presences across multiple platforms.
The guide outlines two reports: the Insights layer and the Performance layer. The Insights layer provides a simplified view of traffic trends, top-performing content, search queries, and audience locations.
