Google has rolled out version 5.07 of its Google Health app, which includes several updates aimed at improving workout logging and health data tracking. The update focuses on refining existing features rather than introducing new ones.

One key improvement is the addition of more detailed information to workout records, including trail runs and incline runs contributing to a user's overall Running Distance total. Manually logged workouts will also gain support for additional metrics, such as swimming activities switching between pool and open-water sessions.

The update also addresses issues with Health Connect, Google's platform for sharing health and fitness information between compatible apps. A problem that caused some Android users to lose connection has been fixed, allowing supported data to connect through normal settings.
