Google Home Expands Live Viewing Support for Third-Party Cameras
Google Home has expanded its live viewing capabilities to support a wider range of third-party camera brands, including Wyze, Anker's Eufy, Reolink, and Nanit. This update allows users to view all their home security feeds in one place inside the Google Home app. Previously, camera integration was inconsistent, with some brands offering support while others did not.
The newly supported brands include Eufy by Anker, Tapo by TP-Link, Wyze, Reolink, and Nanit. These cameras can now be connected to the Google Home app, providing users with a consolidated view of their home security feeds.
In addition to expanded camera compatibility, the update also introduces a new 'Save Clip' shortcut for event recordings from Nest and Walmart cameras. This feature allows users to download recorded clips instantly, and custom clip lengths can be set while playing or scrolling through the timeline.
