Google Integrates Gemini AI Across Core Workspace Apps
Google has expanded its AI-powered voice capabilities across its core Workspace applications, including Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Keep. The company's Gemini model, version 3.5 Live, is now integrated into these tools to enable hands-free productivity. This move marks a significant step towards voice-first interactions in the workplace.
Gmail Live allows users to search their inbox conversationally by asking questions, with the assistant responding in real-time. Docs Live works as a writing partner, helping users turn their ideas into structured drafts while pulling relevant context from Gmail, Drive, Chat, and the web. Keep Live enables users to dictate notes, which are automatically organized into lists.
The features are currently available to Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers on iOS and Android in English, with access for Google Workspace Business customers expected soon. This expansion follows recent additions to Google's voice-based AI tools, including cross-app dictation on its Mac app and the Gemini-powered 'Rambler' feature on Pixel 11 devices.
