Google Invests $10M in Stormwater Filtration for Data Centers

Google has pledged $10 million to support stormwater filtration projects near its data centers. The funds will be directed towards communities where the company operates or plans to build facilities, with a focus on areas near the Chesapeake Bay and Roanoke River watersheds.

About $4.4 million of this funding will go to Frog Creek Partners, an environmental technology company based in Wyoming, to develop filtration systems in these watersheds.

The remaining $5.6 million will support projects in other communities with existing or planned Google data centers.

Google has mentioned potential projects in areas near its development in Chesterfield County, Virginia, and a planned data center in Botetourt County.
