Google Invests €13 Billion in Finnish AI Infrastructure
Google has announced its largest investment in Europe to date, committing at least €13 billion ($15.1 billion) to build AI infrastructure in Finland over the next two years.
The project includes the construction of at least three new data centers and the expansion of Google's existing facility in Hamina, which is expected to create over 37,000 jobs during its construction phase.
Ruth Porat, Chief Investment Officer at Alphabet Inc., highlighted the importance of this initiative in enhancing Google's AI capabilities and solidifying its presence in the European market.
