Google Maps Brings Turn-by-Turn Navigation to South Korea

Google Maps has been working on bringing turn-by-turn navigation to South Korea. Currently, the app only offers location information and public transit directions in the country. This includes collaborating with private companies and public entities to enable turn-by-turn navigation in the country.

The plan is to provide full-functioning Google Maps capabilities in Korea, which includes turn-by-turn directions, a feature that makes Google Maps popular worldwide. However, it's worth noting that this comes after the South Korean government approved Google's ability to use high-precision map data on overseas servers earlier this year, with conditions that military and sensitive facilities are blurred.
